Rihanna Addresses Marijuana Controversy (Recap)

On Friday Rihanna Addresses Marijuana Controversy was a top story. Here is the recap: (popmusiclife) Reports and photos of Rihanna smoking pot at the Coachella festival last weekend have made some headlines for the pop singer. Billboard reports the headlines have forced Rihanna to respond. On Thursday, the uptight folks at MTV tweeted "Yikes. @Rihanna's marijuana photos from Coachella spark controversy," posting shots from the singer's Instagram feed and drawing a barbed response from Rihanna herself.
"@MTV Yikes… @rihanna ran out of f***s to give," she tweeted back. MTV has since deleted its tweet, though the story remains posted. "I'm crazy, and I don't pretend to be anything else," Rihanna tweeted on Tuesday, in response to fans concerned by the photos. Perhaps she was drawing inspiration from past artists: on Wednesday, Rihanna took to her Twitter page to advise fans to see the new Bob Marley documentary, "Marley." "Bob Marley is my HERO #thatisall," she added, of the noted reggae icon and marijuana aficionado. The singer’s Coachella photos aren’t the only ones that have made headlines for the pop superstar; in January, Rihanna was caught on film enjoying some herb while on vacation in Hawaii.

First Look at “Where Have You Been”

Giving her fans an appetizer from her new video, Rihanna has released a still image from “Where Have You Been.” Taking to her official Facebook page, the “Take A Bow” songstress posted the picture along with the caption, “The countdown to ‘Where Have You Been’ is on.” Ri-Ri worked with Cirkut, Dr. Luke, and Calvin Harris on the song, which appears on her latest studio album Talk That Talk. Over the weekend, Rihanna joined Harris on stage at the 2012 Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California for a couple songs.

Rihanna posts topless vacation pics to Facebook

Rihanna has continued her tradition of posting racy photos online, sharing photos of herself topless in a waterfall with her Facebook fans last night.

Straight off her performance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival over the weekend, it appears that the "Umbrella" singer took a moment to update her photo album on Facebook, posting a slew of photos from her vacation to Hawaii over the holidays. Several of the photos would get a PG-13 rating.

In one snapshot, Rihanna stands on a pristine beach in a white bikini, pulling down her yellow shorts as she licks her lips.
In another image, Rihanna sprays suntan lotion on her upper body, throwing her head back as she cups her chest in her hands.

In perhaps the raciest set of the new photos, Rihanna dives into a waterfall. Taken away in the moment, Rihanna dramatically unties her bikini, waving it above her head as the camera flashes. In one image from the series, Rihanna stands up in the water, covering her chest with only her arm.

At the same time as posting the Hawaii photo album, the singer also teased her new single, writing, "The countdown to 'Where Have You Been' is on...."

Rihanna and Katy are Coach-ella, ella Gurls

Bajan singer Rihanna was performing with DJ Calvin Harris at the Californian event when she decided to pull her famous friend on stage with her for a cuddle.

Wearing tiny studded denim shorts, a midriff-baring 'Peace' top, sunglasses and a 'Boy' cap, 24-year-old Ri-Ri was at her flesh-flashing, trashy best.

Later in the day she was seen with the words 'Thug life' written across her tummy in pen while smoking a brown, naughty-looking cigarette.
Katy, 27, chose a more lady-like festival look than a previous transparent number, opting for a floral sequinned dress and showing off her new long black-and-blue hair.

The girls made the most of the festival buzz and spent time raving.

Rihanna Cuts Interview Short After Questions About Love Life

The details of Rihanna's personal life are certainly a point of interest for the public, but the singer-turned-actor is sick of fielding questions about her private life. During a recent interview with Australian talk show "Sunrise," Ri cut the conversation short because she wasn't comfortable with the direction it was heading in.

Because Rihanna was in Australia to promote her upcoming movie"Battleship," the conversation began with a discussion about her future in films and whether she'll put her singing career on the back burner in favor of film. "I don't see why I can't do both," she said. "If I love both, then I'll do great at both. I love music, and after my first experience with movies, I can't wait to do more."
One of those potential future films is tackling the coveted role of the late great Whitney Houston in an upcoming biopic, which Rihanna said would be a very emotional experience. "She's been someone that I've looked up to for so long," she said. "Her music is something that I've been very close to, so I guess it would be fulfilling as well as ... a lot of pressure."

At this point in the interview the reporter brought up Rihanna's public persona and the pressures and frustrations associated with having all your day-to-day activities reported in the news — specifically when tabloids and gossip websites speculate about Rihanna's love life and link her to other celebs, like Ashton Kutcher.

"[It's] very frustrating," Rihanna said, looking annoyed. "Almost as frustrating as being asked about it."

"Yeah, you don't like going there?" the reporter asked in a diplomatic way.

"I mean, what's the point?" Rihanna responded.

"Well people are interested in you, you're a big star," the reporter added.

"They are. And they're interested in a lot of things — a lot of things that don't matter," said a visibly irritated Rihanna. "Or shouldn't."

The reporter added in voice-over at the end of the piece that the interview abruptly ended after Rihanna's last comment.

This isn't the first time the topic of Rihanna's love life has halted an interview. Last month in London, Rihanna chastised a reporter at a press conference for bringing up the Ashton rumors. "Wow, how disappointing was that question?" she asked in response. "I'm happy and I'm single, if that's what you're really asking."

Rihanna poses at Hawaii

Singer Rihanna has posted a series of her steamy photos on her facebook page. These pictures have been shot in Hawaii during her holiday in January. They feature the singer walking in white two piece bikini on the beach. She has also been snapped taking off her bikini at the bottom of a waterfalls and throwing it in the air.

Rihanna has posted around 169 images on her facebook account. The series of saucy snaps on her facebook were followed by a statement that read, “Rihanna makes us all pretty jealous as she lays on the beautiful Hawaiian sand and soaks up some sun. Enjoy these pics from her Hawaiian vaca.”
The singer has posed in different getups on different places like beach, waterfall, rock pool and garden. The first few pictures show her sporting green top and short and walking on the Hawaiian beach. Few other photos feature her playing in backwaters of the sea in two piece bikini and later laying herself on a wooden sofa in a garden.

Going a step ahead, Rihanna takes a dip into the water near a rocky pool beneath a waterfall. At some point of time, she snatches her bra and throws it in the air. In this pic, she is completely nude and is covering her twin assets with her right hand. She looks very hot and sexy in this pose.

Rihanna performs 'We Found Love' at Coachella festival

Rihanna joined Calvin Harris for a surprise performance at the Coachella festival yesterday (April 15).

The Scottish DJ teased that there would be a special surprise during his set when he Tweeted his fans to say: "There might be an exciting surprise during my Coachella set later !" Admittedly, it was not much of a surprise though with Rihanna Tweeted images of herself at the festival all day.

Regardless, Rihanna joined Calvin for a run through of their join smash 'We Found Love' later in the day. Katy Perry was spotted cheering the pair on from the front of the crowd.
Tweeting after the surprise slot, Rihanna said: "This turned out to be one of the best nights of my life." Adding: "@CalvinHarris I had so much fun with your ****ing fanz tonight! Diz hoodrat $kabii @katyperry also crowd surft n ATE my A$$ during my show."

Meanwhile, Rihanna was also spotted watching Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre's headline show - which featured a lifelike hologram performance from the late Tupac Shakur.

Rihanna goes topless in waterfall shot

Rihanna is titillating fans with her latest vacation snapshots - waving her bikini top in the air while posing under a waterfall.

The provocative R&B star posted photos from her Hawaiian vacation in January on her Facebook.com page on Monday night and one joyful snap is particularly fetching.

Wearing a tiny swimsuit in most of the shots, she teases in one by ripping off her top and holding it over her head, while covering her breasts with her other arm.
In other shots, the We Found Love singer poses provocatively on a sun lounger and on the beach.

Rihanna and Drake reignite romance rumours in intimate Take Care video

Rihanna previously admitted she and Drake once has a fling, and now the pair have reignited romance rumours after getting up close and personal in his eagerly anticipated Take Care video.

The video's director, Lemoine, fuelled speculation the pair are an item when he described the natural chemistry between the singers last month.

He told MTV News: 'They seemed to be super close and that's what I wanted for the video.'

It's not the first time these two have dabbled with the idea of romance.
The duo - who also collaborated for Rihanna's What's My Name? back in 2010 - were spotted sharing a kiss in 2009, soon after Rihanna split from her violent ex Chris Brown.

She later admitted to US radio host Angie Martinez the smooch was just a one off, saying: 'We weren't really sure what it was. We just went out - my friends, his friends.

'I definitely was attracted to Drake, but I think it is what it is - like it was what it was.

'We didn't want to take it any further. It was at a really fragile time in my life, so I just didn't want to get too serious with anything or anyone at that time.'

Rihanna Would Give Her 'Entire Life' To Play Whitney Houston

Because of the larger-than-life pop-star status Whitney Houston left behind with her untimely death in February, it comes as no surprise that Hollywood would be interested in making a biopic to honor her legacy.

The competition for the role is sure to be fierce. Some ladies who have been mentioned as potential candidates to play Houston at various stages in her life include: "Dreamgirls" actress/singer Jennifer Hudson, who performed the heartfelt "I Will Always Love You" tribute at the 2012 Grammys, Vivica A. Fox, Meagan Good and "American Idol" alum and Houston's "Sparkle" co-star Jordin Sparks.
Then there's fellow pop star/ actress Rihanna, who, in speaking with reporters from the U.K. Press Association, revealed that she would give her " entire life" for the opportunity to play Houston.

"My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song: 'I Will Always Love You,' " Rihanna said. "It was really inspiring, and it made me develop a passion for music, so really, she's partly responsible for me being here in this industry.

"That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off," the "Talk That Talk" singer continued. "That's a huge, huge role, and whoever does it has to do a good job."

We'll all get to see RiRi's acting chops when "Battleship" opens in theaters next month. Director Peter Berg told MTV News that Rihanna brings "a real intensity" to her role, which could offer a glimpse of what she might do if given the opportunity to portray Houston in the biopic, if it is green-lit.

Rihanna comfortable in movies

Acting is a "natural extension" of Rihanna's talent.

The 'You Da One' singer makes her acting debut in 'Battleship' and her co-star Brooklyn Decker was impressed with how quickly she adapted from performing on stage to the big screen.

She said: "She's been performing for audiences for so long, acting is a natural extension of her talent. She looks so comfortable up there. It's surprising and I think people will be excited to see her."

Brooklyn particularly enjoyed working on the film - which is about aliens attacking a US naval convoy - because she and Rihanna were given strong characters to play who are more than just "damsels in distress".
She added: "Rihanna and I are very much tomboys. I'm actually not a fan of most action films, because you see the girl and she's a damsel in distress with her hair blown out and being rescued by the hero - that annoys me.

"I want the girl to be tough, and this movie actually showcases two women fending for themselves and fighting this battle and being strong, independent, tough women."

Rihanna brings a slice of Tokyo style to Sydney

She has been in Tokyo for almost two weeks and Rihanna has clearly been inspired by Japan's forward-thinking ways.

However the time has come for Rihanna to leave the region that propelled her into dyeing her hair back to black and even giving some of her locks the chop.

Today the singer posted a tribute picture to the area by showing off a T-shirt she was wearing by Trapstar, a brand whose website she regularly features on for donning their clothes.
The 24-year-old drew attention to the dragon motif on the back of her monochrome design, a reference to the diverse legendary creatures which often feature in Japanese mythology and folklore.

Rihanna – whose real name is Robyn Fenty – posed in front of a vast landscape high rise buildings in Tokyo where she has been staying.

Moving her fresh hairstyle over to the front of her body, she teamed the ensemble up with a dark bandana and gold chain choker with similar colour hoop earrings.

She simply captioned the snap: ‘Good bye Japan.’

Her full outfit was revealed as she arrived at the airport to jet off to her next location, the busy performer’s ensemble was seen in its entirety as she entered the terminal building, showing off her legs in a sheer maxi skirt and lace-up flat shoes.

She threw on a checked bomber jacket with the initial ‘A’ on the left breast as she prepared to board the aircraft.
